Current Performers

Skylar Glass

The only performer to have been a part of every major production under the leadership of Josh Baker, Skylar has a long history of amazing performances and an ever growing fan base. Debuting as a cheerleader in VBS over four years ago, Skylar has always exhibited a strong ability to capture the audience and lead the show with strong acting and music skills. Skylar's two most noteable performances to date have to be when she played the role of Jadis the White Witch in KidsTown Live!'s production of Narnia and her role as Skylab, assistant scientist to the Great Scott in our 2008 VBS. Having stabbed lions, rocketed diet coke, and lit things on fire, Skylar has successfully earned the "dude, you're cool" award even from the boys. Skylar is now married and resides in Pennsylvania. The year 2010 marked Skylar's farewell tour from the CBC VBS and KidsTown performance scene. It has been quite a ride as we have all been incredibly blessed by the talents this servant has chosen to use for the Lord! Even though Skylar says goodbye to us, she will soon be saying hello to a whole new group of children and opportunities as she seeks to discover what the Lord has in store for her up in Pennsylvania. (and hopefully, we'll still get the honor and priviledge of seeing her from time to time when she comes to visit family!)

Sam Leslie

Having played roles that most audience kids are envious of, Sam has doned astronaut, pirate, lion, superhero, and an every other conceivable costume you can probably think of as well as several you've probably never thought of such as a lime green gorilla mascot. As Sam has added to his years of performing, he has excelled into assuming the roles of some of our most challenging characters such as Edmund Pevensie in Narnia, the hero boy in the Eternal Express, and Marlin in Finding Nemo's Creator. Sam's musical skills were discovered in 2009 when a replacement was needed for our fledgling Made4Him music team. Sam is now known for his trademark handstands which debuted in 2009 in the hit song 360. Back for 2010, Sam brought back the handstand, his fans, and some rockin cool t-shirts which have vaulted his popularity status into the next hemisphere and this time he didn't have to wear an astronaut costume to do it! (although one t-shirt did have a rocket on it!) Sam continues to perform on Sunday mornings on our KidsTown Live! stage show both in music and skits.

Hannah Leich

Although new to the music team this year, Hannah is no stranger to VBS. Having debuted in 2008 as Sparki, a superhero light of sorts, it was easy to see that Hannah had great potential at stage performance success. She returned in 2009 as an actor in the safari skits and also spent about a year performing in KidsTown Live! After a extended break from showbiz, Hannah re-enlisted to showcase her talents again in VBS 2010. We were glad to have such talent back on stage and this year, Hannah really stepped up her game and brought it stronger than ever as she bravely took on the challenge of becoming a member of Made4Him as well as assuming the challenging role as Dory in the Finding Nemo's Creator musical. With so many children falling in love again with Hannah's performing talents, I think they (and we) all hope that it won't be long before we see her again on stage.

Arielka Lorente

With the rising membership of our Spanish speaking community, the Made4Him group welcomed in their first member from our Spanish church family. Having never tackled anything of this nature, Arielka bravely took on this performing challenge and with her trademark smile won over new fans, and not just Spanish, but English and all alike. Maybe next year, we will have our first song taught in a different language!
